Production Assistant   

About the role 

Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the Production Assistant will participate in all facets of Mastatest production including Plastic preparation, labelling, glassware cleaning and autoclaving, product dispensing, freeze drying and / or packaging.  

Whilst experience of working in a production environment and some scientific knowledge are desirable, full training on all elements of the role will be provided. What is essential is a positive can-do attitude, attention to detail, and good communication skills. 

This Dunedin-based role is being offered at a minimum of 20 hours per week (scheduled for example as 4hrs per day, 5 days a week), but up to 40 hours per week. Some flexibility is possible with regard to working during school holiday periods, dependent on employee circumstances.

  • Good communications skills 

  • Skills and experience in clean or aseptic manufacturing environment (desirable but not mandatory)

  • Bachelor of Science/Food or equivalent (desirable but not mandatory)

This role is based at our head office in Dunedin, New Zealand. We are located in the Centre for Innovation, on the University of Otago Campus. Only applicants with the right to live and work in New Zealand should apply.
